What a privilege to be able to wander out into the garden and pick a few sprigs of Forsythia to accompany some little daffodils. I'm so grateful for my garden.
Many thanks to those of you who asked about the recovery after a knee replacement operation. It's just six months now, and things are relatively alright, but I still cant bend my knee as much as I should be able to.
This is what my surgeon advised me to buy.
It's a little pedal cycle thing , and apparently the action of pedalling will 'do my knee good'.
I was fortunate to find it in our large Red Cross Charity shop!
Rudyard Kipling quite rightly says;
'Gardens are not made by singing 'Oh how beautiful' and sitting in the shade'
That made me laugh!

Haha...good quote! That is fortunate that you could pick up that item in the charity shop. Hope all improves as you use it! Beautiful bouquet!
Keep pedalling and you might get fit enough for the Tour De France!! I hope it has some sort of milometer to register just how far you have "travelled". Your spring flowers are amazing ♥️
That is a neat little apparatus for pedaling!! I hope it works for you.
All but 4 of my peat pots with Sweet Peas sowed have failed to come up. I can't even find the seeds. Did I sow them too deeply...or did they rot? In any case I have re-sowed them and am hoping for better results.
What a pretty little arrangement! Yellow is such a welcome colour after winter's gray drabness.
Beautiful flowers! That petal exercise thing could indeed be helpful! I hope it is for you! I'm so glad that spring is coming and that you have an opportunity to garden 🥰
Lovely pop of colour for spring. Love that you found that exercise pedal thing in a charity shop.
God bless.
Beautiful blog
Ha ha! That's true! We have to plan and then work in our "bit of earth" and even though March is early to begin considering the chores here in Colorado, there ARE things to be done. I'm so glad you have that little piece of equipment to get your knee bending the way you want it to.
I hope your exercises help with your knee, I broke my hip 2 years ago and I'm still a little stiff on that side. That is a sweet little bouquet of flowers, pretty flowers just make me feel good.
That is a fun quote, and one I must take to heart. I've been procrastinating about planting tomato seeds. Sweet peas were sprouted and need to be put into the ground now. Lots to do now that we have some sunshine!
I'm glad your knee is doing well and I hope the cycling motion will make it even better. Lovely bouquet of sunshiney flowers.
The flowers look lovely and cheerful! So good to hear you are recovering well. I am delighted to hear you found the pedal cycle item at a charity shop! That is such a blessing!
There is always lot to do in the garden! We have plenty to do now but I can’t anymore after a surgery so my husband has to do it.
Knee replacement is a painful surgery and takes time to recover. Take good care of care.

So nice to gather the daffodils from your garden - ours are not quite ready yet! Love the quote. Gardens are a lot of work, but bring so much enjoyment!!!
Lovely gatherings from your garden! Our daffodils are now in bloom as well. Happy springtime to you, Barbara!
