A sunny day, the first for ages, meant that Trelissick Gardens were on the agenda for a visit. Friends were staying with me, so what better place to go than a couple of miles down the road.
Could anything be more lovely than this view, taken from a little round 'log cabin' in the grounds. Here we sat, complete with inquisitive Squirrel who was disappointed that we had no crumbs for him.
A huge pink Magnolia dominates this area of the garden, together with smaller white Azaleas. Gardeners work so hard to keep the lawns and beds tidy.
Sun shone through the flowers of this beautiful red Azalea, one of many in the gardens.
Tucked away in a nearby flower bed I found something that I have previously only seen on Lorrie's posts. It's an Erythronium or Fawn Lily, and I was both suprised and excited to see it here. It originates from North America and Asia. Here it is in Cornwall!
Each path leads to something different, and here is an almost ethereal group of tree trunks. Can't you imagine woodland beings living there?
A final view of those dancing Daffodils, overlooking the Falmouth Bay.
How fortunate we are to live so near to a place which gives so much pleasure to so many people.

So pretty!
What a beautiful place to visit on a sunny spring day. I'm tickled that you saw a fawn lily (erythronium) on your walk. They are such delicate flowers and just coming into bloom in the woods here.
Beautiful!
What a lovely garden to visit and take friends along to share the beauty.
How special that you spotted the fawn lily.
Such a lovely place to visit.
God bless.
Lovely pictures and lovely place! You are very lucky to have such a beautiful place nearby!
The final view is stunning, thank you for sharing.
What a gorgeous day out at Trelissick Gardens. It sounds like the perfect spot to enjoy the first sunny day in ages. The view from the little round log cabin must’ve been breathtaking, and that curious squirrel adds such a fun touch to the moment. The magnolia and azaleas must have looked incredible in full bloom — I can almost feel the warmth of the sun through your words. I love that you found the Erythronium (Fawn Lily) tucked away; it’s always exciting to stumble upon something new in nature, especially something you’ve only seen online. Your description of the woodland area really paints a magical picture, I can definitely imagine woodland beings making it their home. It’s so special to have a place like this nearby, and I can see why it brings so much joy to people. Thanks for sharing such a peaceful walk with us.
And we are fortunate that you could share this delightful spot with us! How fun to discover the Fawn Lily. Love the view of daffodils with the water in the background! Happy April to you!
It looks like such a lovely and scenic place to visit. It must have provided peace and happiness to see such beauty in nature.

A lovely post. Thanks for sharing your photos.
We visited twice a year when we went with the children to stay with my parents in Falmouth... memories memories memories.... it's such a beautiful place.
A pocket of paradise! the warm weather is misleading as it's still very early in the year, I hope these beautiful flowers that we are seeing will survive if the temp turns. The lily is beautiful, the daffodils are spectacular, I bought two bunches today of white one with red centres, they are so cheery - it's great to see you are out and about. Betty
Thank you so much for the beautiful photos of this wonderful garden. It immediately reminds me of our vacation last summer, because I've never seen so many fantastic gardens as I did at your place in the South of England.
It's wonderful that you live in such a beautiful area, and it's fantastic that you share your photos with us.
Best wishes to you from Viola.
It's good to get outside now and walk with friends in the sunshine. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Trelissick Gardens.
Beautiful post
Absolutely beautiful! We are so very lucky to have such places in the south west. Have a happy weekend! 😁
