We won't be staying up to welcome 2019, but will have a little memory chat about some of our wonderful past new Year celebrations.
Sydney one year was amazing. Another year we were in Bangkok having a celebration dinner at a waterside restaurant and watching fireworks. One year was spent in Penang in the sunshine, another in Canada in deep snow. French new years were always fun, dining with friends whose dish for New Year was always a huge platter of Oysters. Not something I can eat.
So, best wishes to you all and prayers for, above all, a world at peace.

Amen to that - we too hope to be asleep by midnight - long journey home tomorrow visiting more family en route. Like you we are praying for peace in our troubled nation and broken world. Grateful to God for his peace in our hearts and his life ve in our homes

We, too, will be asleep at midnight. Just now it's late afternoon and we're planning on a cheese fondue, just the two of us, followed by a movie here. Blessings on you and M in 2019. Happy New Year!

what wonderful memories! I don't think I've ever done anything for new years other than remembering my parents with my +Aunt Karen and Uncle L getting together at my parents house! :)

You have some wonderful memories of New Years past - how lovely to have those special times to remember!
We were usually boating, we had two New Years in France and as you mentioned we had oysters! We love them and had them as an entree for our Christmas Eve dinner!
