There is always a risk when you employ an unknown 'Handyman'.
Suffice to say , without going in to all the details, I had to ask him to stop the work after 3 days.
Yes, he put insulation up, badly, and yes, he started the plywood boarding.
Even I, a non DIYer, could see that there were gaps where there shouldn't be, there were panels not placed properly, there were badly cut joints.
I felt so let down and so sad that my project seemed to be failing.
However, a few days later, stepson and son in law manfully came to the rescue, repositioning panels, recutting pieces and generally improving things. As they said 'We cant leave you like this'.
Onward now. It's going to take a little longer than I had thought but at least it will be done well.
I am so grateful to the rescuers.

Oh dear! That must have been so distressing! I am so glad that your family was able to rescue this situation ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
How disappointing. But what a wonderful rescue you've had! And now it will be done well!
That wasn't much of a "handyman" who did such a shoddy job. Good thing you noticed and asked him to stop. And lovely that your stepson and son in law finished the job for you.
Good for you for calling a halt, not easy to have that confrontation. I am glad you have heroes to put things right :)
Oh I am happy your rescuers have taken up this important job!
Have a good week ahead & love, Carolien
I had the same problem two years ago with my garden shed, but on rescuers unfortunately ! This will be perfect i am sure now.
Shame about the initial poor workmanship. Wonderful to have family who want to help out and give you a space that is special to you. It will be special because of your kind family. May it give you lots of pleasure when it is finished.
PTL for those rescuers! It is so disappointing when you have to deal with shoddy work.
I'm so glad that your stepson and son in law came to the rescue!
Oh no! I wish they could admit they didn't know what to do or how to do it, so you could have been saved the angst! I'm glad the rescuers came!
So happy for you that your dear ones stepped up to right the wrongs! You are going to enjoy your new space, and you will probably think of their gift every time!
How very disappointing!( Initially) But well done to your two helpful guys...now it will be done with love and care, which is much better. Hope we get some late Autumn sun to make your times off gentle and golden
