Falmouth Bay
A friend rang me, a surprise call, and said she was nearby and how about going out for lunch?
It wasn't a warm sunny day, but we drifted over to Falmouth and after a delicious lunch overlooking the water, we decided to wander along to take a closer look.
There were actually people in swimming costumes dashing in and out of the water. I didnt take pictures of them, just admired their courage!
Even on a greyish day there is something very calming about the water here.
Right on the Point (to the left)you might be able to see Pendennis Castle, one of our historic monuments. I'll tell you about it in a later post.
It was a good day.

Those unexpected invitations so often become treasured memories. There is great joy to be found in a peaceful day and the quiet company of a dear friend.
What a nice outing with a friend. I am anxious to hear more about Pendennis Castle.
Lovely and so very calm. Looking forward to hearing about the castle.
God bless.
Fun to get invited out and enjoy the lovely calm view.
An outing with a friend is a lovely way to spend a few hours. The view is also lovely. Glad you had a pleasant day. Swimming in the sea in February wouldn't interest me at all!
I wish I was by the sea! Such beautiful and calm scenery. They sure are courageous to go swimming!
We used to visit Falmouth several times a year when my parents lived there, and previously in Penryn, all through the 1980s and 1990s. Lovely memories, thank you.
We often take a picnic and sit in the car at Pendennis , just watching the waves and sometimes dolphins ! 🐬Husband's family from all around there . Hope you are keeping well💐 x
What a lovely surprise to get invited out for lunch and a chance to wander by the water.

What a wonderful outing! I would enjoy seeing the castle pictures, so intriguing! And such a wonderful thing to enjoy being with a friend overlooking the water! There really is just something special about water. Brr - to those people out swimming in the water! Many blessings to you :)
A spontaneous outing with a friend. Nothing could be better. I look forward to your post when you chat about the castle. Wishing you a beautiful week ahead, Barbara. xo
