Twenty or so years ago, I bought a very lovely Tapestry to sew. I had just bought two armchairs in a pretty bluey print (still going) and thought I would make this into a cushion to match.
However, the years intervened, and the sewing got put away, brought out at intervals and generally became one of those Unfinished Objects (UFOs).
Now, with considerably more time on my hands, I'm determined to finish it. It's such a pretty design, and herbs figure so much in my garden.
Most of it is finished, but there is still one complete block to do and quite a bit of the blue surround.
There was once a leaflet with the names of all the herbs, but it disappeared. I'm not sure what some of the plants are, though the violet is obvious.
I do a few lines each day and it is encouraging to see it getting nearer completion. I don't think I'm the only one with a UFO in the cupboard, am I?!

This is beautiful and your sewing is excellent, I still have the little seed packet holder you made for me many years ago. This is a lovely hobby as you can do odd bits here and there when you have time. I would love to see the finished result :) Betty

I'd be willing to bet that there is not one single soul on the earth who doesn't have a UFO. I don't even try to count mine. That is going to make a gorgeous pillow. Can't wait to see it on one of those chairs.

That's such a pretty design, Barbara, and will make a beautiful cushion when completed. UFOs are lurking in my cabinets, too.
I love how our projects wait for us, and because we loved them when we started, we love finishing them, even if the break in the middle is longer than it should be. My longest break was over 10 years.
This is such a lovely project with the pretty herbs and flowers. Hopefully it won't be long before it's finished. I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I have had more than my fair share of projects that have been started and then left for far too long. I'm trying hard to change that this year .
Your UFO project is so pretty. How nice to be able to complete something like it. My projects aren't as creative but more organizational. Sorting and passing on.
What a pretty project. I love the blue tones. Something delightful to look forward... both in the completing the pillow and then enjoying on your chair.
I have a few UFOs hanging around. I gave quite a few away to the thrift store years ago, but they seem to have gathered in bags and boxes in the cupboard, so it's time to see what's what on that front.
