Here we go again!
A sunny morning suddenly turned into heavy snowfall at lunch time.
Now the garden is white.
It's good to be part of a small community though.
Gazing out at the snow I saw my neighbour opposite waving. Not certain if he was waving for help, (he's 92) or just waving, I grabbed my boots and ran across.
He just wanted to tell me he was fine and had a larder full of food!
A little later there was a knock at the door, and another kind neighbour called to see if we needed any shopping.
I had done a shop run yesterday so we have all we need.
Then an ambulance arrived for yet another gentleman, a lovely man who insists on taking our wastebins down to the kerb on recycling day. There was a small flurry of concerned phone calls between several of us.
His next door neighbour is looking after him and has accompanied him into hospital.
I believe that further up the country the snow is much heavier and people are already stuck on main roads. Staying in by the fire feels good.

We escaped it last time, but it snowed all day yesterday, makes for pretty photos! What a lovely community of neighbours you have, it’s good to hear about people looking out for each other xx
I've got good neighbours just like you. One had phoned and one had called by 7.30 this morning. Since then someone (I don't know who) has cleared a path so i| can get to my bins and a neighbour has put my bins at the kerbside as she does every Sunday Aren't people lovely!
We have snow today in Canada. Usually it's muddy at this time with pussy willows on the trees but this year, it's been a snowy, icy year. Thankfully, not too cold. Enjoying a day to stay in and create in the studio. Hope your snow disappears soon! Chy

Hello Elizabeth, The snow is pretty in photographs but can be so dangerous. What a blessing to have kind and caring neighbors. Thanks for your comment on my blog about the dolls....it is a toy shop where you can buy dolls, enjoy a tea party or picnic. Many accessories are available to purchase for the dolls. The gardens are lovely in every season. God bless your day.
Neighbors helping neighbors, that is wonderful. You don't see much of that anymore. We live in a small town too, I love it.

We had a huge blizzard on the way back from church and were all braced for the worst and today...nothing. Someone told me today that Plymouth is between two rivers so it is often protected from the really terrible weather. I have no idea if that is true. All I know is that I would really like it to start to warm up now.

I am so glad everyone and everything turned out well. Living in community is a good thing, when it's with good and kind people. I enjoyed this glimpse of life in your snow country.
