I'm so thrilled to see that shoots of Daffodil bulbs are already appearing.
I planted a low bowl for the front doorstep with tulips and tiny daffodils, expecting them to take ages before they came up. But all of a sudden, tiny green spears are showing.
January and February are such dull months. the weather is cold, bitterly cold today. The evenings are dark so early. The garden lies sleeping.
Storms come rushing in. This morning I had to rescue my garden bin from the path, where it had blown away. The lid is cracked. But it could be worse. The house is warm and cosy. The grocery deliveries are on time so I dont have to go out shopping. England is in a poor state with the new virus variant and many of us worry and feel that more Government restrictions would have been sensible.
I picked these Camellias this morning, such a joyful flower. A little glow of colour in an otherwise dull garden.

I saw daffodils blooming in pots in the street the other day - couldn't believe it. But then it has been so mild. Never satisfied, I am now craving a cold snap!
New flower shoots create smiles.
Stay safe. There is a better future for us after this pandemic filters out.
Things are rough here as well with the new variant. Love the shoots but won't see those until April here!

I saw tiny spears of crocuses poking through the dirt before our big snowfall. The snow is melting quickly and I'll soon go out and check on them. It's so hopeful to see new growth. We are all longing for the end of this pandemic and do our best to stay safe.
How lovely to see your Camellia blooming in the cold of winter. Even the little shoots of Daffodils seem like a miracle. I can hardly wait!!
I love the flowers, my garbage bin is still sitting out front as it seems those who collect it have forgotten about it.
I live in the only province that has in person schooling right now. I expect a surge even greater than now of Omicron cases in about 2 weeks.

Your camellias are so pretty. That ugly virus is rampant here in my part of Texas, I wish it would go away. I love grocery deliveries, it was so nice when Mr D and I were both sick last year.

Oh, lovely! My Christmas bulb is trying to grow, but there will be no outdoor flowers for a while. I'm glad you are having your groceries delivered.
So wonderful to see the daffodil blooms already! My, we are buried under snow here! And those camellias are just gorgeous, such a bright spot of color! It does seem like January and February are full of stormy weather. Spring will be here soon, says the promise of the daffodils! Blessings to you dear friend :)

It is cold here too, but we had a bit of a reprieve today with "not as cold." January and February can drag sometimes, but in March when I look back, I wonder how I got here so quickly! Time is a strange thing . . .
Having daffodils peeking up out of the soil must be heartening! Happy New Year to you and yours!
