Rejoicing in sunshine as I planted some new pansies this morning, I also reflected on how incredibly fortunate we are to be free to do such a simple task.
No soldiers are marching down our road.
Tanks are not appearing over the horizon.
We are not having to hide in underground stations.
We are not listening to horrific sirens.
We are not frantically trying to escape to a border wheere we might be safe.
There is no way of imagining what the Ukrainians are going through, and it seems that the best we can do is pray for them and their country, and be grateful, so grateful, for our freedom.

Beautifully said. Amen.

Joining you in prayer for the people of Ukraine!
My heart goes out to those poor people. One feels so helpless. I almost can't watch the news these days what with all the divisions and name-calling here in Canada and the awful situation in the Ukraine.
It is just terrible.
Grateful and praying...
It is totally distressing and absorbing, I notice the Youth of Russia is against - they have the power and strength to change this.
It is terrible and I’ve had a lump in my throat all day. Praying!
You've said it well, Barbara. I feel the same when I look around my home and garden. Praying for strength and comfort for the Ukrainian people.
Heart breaking, like you said all we can do is pray.
I often find myself gazing into space and wondering how my Ukrainian friend feels. I know many years ago she still had family in Ukraine. My thoughts and prayers are with them in their struggle.
God bless.
Won't go into politics here, but am praying diligently that this madman will be beaten down within the coming days. Many European countries should now understand they too are at great risk if they don't step up and help Ukraine!
Let Freedom Ring.
Those poor people and a life I hope we never have to face.
It's something to never take for granted.
