Our new fence is finished, and we are very pleased with it.
It's what is known as a 'feather-edge' design. The boards overlap each other by an inch or so, which makes it very strong.
The primroses are responding to a bit of better weather and have formed lovely cushions of colour. I should possibly have divided them last year but didn't get round to it.
This is the sad bit. My Clematis Montana was just too tangled and broken to keep , so all the growth was cut off. Whether any new growth will appear remains to be seen. If nothing happens, I might plant another one in the same place and let it coil up the old stems.
There is new life in the Greenhouse with Tomato seedlings , Cosmos and Sweet peas growing.
A pot of mixed colour Tulips is giving us great pleasure as we sit in the Sunroom.
I have managed to do a good hour's weeding today, taking advantage of the better weather.
Hopeful that Spring is almost here.

You asked how I keep all the knitting patterns straight. I put them in bags with the printed instructions and I stop at a point that will be obvious to me when I pick it back up.
I have seen so many beautiful clumps of primroses this year, both in gardens and along roadside verges. It's made me want to put some in my garden.

How lovely to have such a pretty and strong fence! My primroses are growing as well. Crocusea are up but we are waiting on tulips to bloom, quite exciting!! Spring is always an exciting time!!! Blessings and hugs to you sweet friend!!

your fence looks good quality (we have feathered and think it is the strongest type against wind) the workmen did a great job and clearly took care not to harm your lovely plants, shame about the clematis montana, but sometimes these things fight back after an aggressive cut, hope yours recovers. Primroses are beautiful.

I've not seen that type of fence. It looks nice and sounds intriguing. Sad to lose a clematis since they are such slow starters.

That promised heatwave has gone AWOL from here and I'm only a short distance away from you. The last 2 days have been very windy and very wet so there's no gardening going on here. I am turning rusty !

Your new fence is sturdy and good-looking. Besides the clematis, it looks like other plants were salvaged and are making themselves at home there. Glad that the days are conducive to spending a little time in the garden.
Your new fence is pretty and provides privacy. It's been pretty the last few days and I have been rearranging my patio furniture and pot planting. I don't plant much in the ground anymore.
Very nice fence, I'm willing to bet the clematis comes back. They are pretty hardy here at least. I don't think our climates are too far apart. We keep bouncing back and forth between 30 and 60 degrees. Have a blessed day.

That fence is gorgeous! We are getting ready to rebuild our fence (large panels of it were blown over from a storm in March) and I was just showing this same design to my husband yesterday. He hasn't decided what he wants yet. I've been planting some annuals in pots and baskets, and rescued a few tropical grasses from the 'dead' bin at a local hardware store. They are doing well in the ground!
