Sadly I am still unable to leave comments, despite tweaking and changing things in my Blog settings. It's strange how apart from you all it makes me feel.
Anyway, to share a bit of news with you..... I'm going on a holiday in June. I feel ready now to do this, and have chosen to go with a company that picks you up at the door , drives you to the airport and hands you over to a Company rep. (All a bit like nursery school, but very reassuring!)
I'm going to Italy! To one of the smaller lakes, Lake Orta, to a hotel right on the lake. It all sounds lovely and I look forward to the warmth. Italy is somewhere I have wanted to go for many years, and I have fond memories of my mother's descriptions of her one trip abroad to this very area.
So far my packing has managed to comprise two pairs of chinos and a sketch book.

I read on someone's blog that by allowing cookies somewhere they were again able to comment.
Yes, by clicking the little box that asked me to allow 'cookies' I was quite amazingly able to comment again on many blogs that I hadn't been able to.
I think your holiday plan is such a good one. Being picked up and delivered to the right places takes away so much of the stress. Italy in June.....it will be wonderful.

Oh Barbara, we are so happy knowing you will be traveling to such a lovely place in beautiful Italy. Being well cared for away from home is important at this age, and you so deserve seeing some new places that you've been dreaming of.
Don't forget we'd love to meet up again in Oct. - we could take the train all the way this time, making it easier for you perhaps.

How exciting, it sounds like you will be well cared for and can just totally relax. I think you will need some pretty scarves and blouses and a hat! We went to Lake Orta in 2018 - it truly is lovely. Even though I was recovering from cancer treatment we had a fantastic time. Oh Barbara, this sounds absolutely lovely. I'm so happy for you. I love that they come right to the door and drop you into the hands of the tour guide. At this stage, that's my idea of not having to worry about a thing. Lovely to think you've started packing even. How exciting. Happy days ahead!

Enjoy!!! Harvey and I are visiting our travel agent and am planning to book a trip to the Greek Isles. Since I got the all clear once again from my specialist and Covid seems to be hiding away we are going to take advantage. If we can't get the cruise we want, we will perhaps travel to Italy as well.
