Random mutterings,
It's a very boring day. The sky has seemingly never changed from dusk to morning. There's a heavy mist and absolutely no sun.
There are four seagulls sitting on the roof of a nearby house.
I had a 24 hour heart monitor fitted this morning, state of the art! The last time I had one of those it was a mass of things stuck to me and a little gadget to clip on a belt. This one is tiny and only stuck to a bit of my chest. So clever.
A girl has walked by with a dog. This happens about a thousand times a day.....different people, different dogs of course.
There's a Special Offer from a company that I like, for a wool cardigan (£20 off! Free postage!). Do I need another cardigan? It's so tempting, but sensible me has just listed all the cardigans that I have (that's the pale blue, the grey, the navy, the second gray.....) Which leaves colours like Lilac and Pink. I dont need a new cardigan.
I had a bad allergic reaction to a Night cream this week. I have used Loreal products before, but not this one, and never again. Burning, irritation, redness, swelling. Ouch. Lots of Aloe Vera needed.
A man walked by with two dogs wearing dear little jackets. (Dogs not man)
My neighbour carried lunch to another neighbour who is unwell.
Two cars (red, white) drove by. All human life is here.
All this post-Pneumonia 'resting' is very wearing! I need to do something creative. It's bitterly cold so gardening is out. Maybe a little light Tapestry work. Very Jane Austen.
Tomorrow will be either, more of the same (dogs, cars, people), or hopefully, brighter.

I've only had a bad cold, but it is so wearying isn't it? I smiled when you mentioned the dog walkers. We have a just a few on our road.
Sounds like its time for a cozy movie, a cup of tea, and some good food!

When I was supposed to be resting post op, I would switch on the Create&Craft channel. I was always asleep within 20 minutes. It has been grey and cold all day here too
Modern technology is sometimes so helpful and it seems that big improvements have been made since you last needed a heart monitor. I hope the results will enable medical staff to give you the most suitable treatment if any is needed. It's a dull as dish water here too and the light has been on for most of the day. Clear blue skies, where are you?
Doing nothing and resting really is tiring. I hated not being able to do anything after my operation a few years back. Now that is a heart monitor I could live with. Hope you start feeling up to par very soon.

I don’t like to stay inside too long, but unfortunately I have a big back pain today and also problems to walk. The weather here is miserable from my garden I don’t see anyone except the birds and we must have the light on all day. Hope you’ll feel better soon and that Spring will arrive quickly!

I think this is a drab and dull time of year. All we can hope for is sunshine and warmth. Please God that time comes soon.
Hello Barbara lovely to read your observations.I watched Miss Austin whilst doing my tapestry! I had that heart monitor in its trial period and had to fill a questionnaire comparing it to the original all wires type. It was much better except for the trial monitors had poor adhesive and when it became unstuck the monitor flashed which showed through your clothes. Bit embarrassing to have your chest flashing a light but very funny when I was with my friends but embarrassing otherwise! Hope you get some sunshine soon. Lynn x

My list would be...a kayak just slid past very quietly. Then a motorboat roared by. Or, I just saw my son leave for work next door.
I really need to get my bird feeders set up. the birds are great entertainment here in the winter.
We are waiting for a snow storm in Pennsylvania USA. Have you tried Cetaphil cream? It has improved my skin 100%.

Observing the comings and goings from your window is a good way to pass some time as you recover.
I have used Vichy products for years and they have recently changed their formula. Vichy and L'Oreal are owned by the same company, so I wonder what they are doing with their products. It seems companies try to improve and only make things worse.
"Rest" is sometime work, isn't it? Hope that there is some brightness in your world today!

Modern medicine is a wonder with all the improvements. Praying you feel better each day and yes, convalescence is boring!
